Our Process

INTRODUCTORY MEETING

Through this hour-long meeting with one of our advisors, we’ll better understand your financial picture and what you’re hoping to accomplish in a relationship with a financial advisor. We’ll explain our approach, our role as fiduciaries, our fee structure, and more. We’ll also carve out time for you to ask any questions about working with us, with the ultimate goal of establishing whether we’re a fit for your needs.

CREATING THE PLAN

We’ll use our second meeting to build off what we’ve covered so far and lay the groundwork for your financial plan. This is the meeting where we can dive further into the specifics of your situation: the goals, questions, and concerns you have for your financial future.

ONBOARDING

Once you’re ready to proceed, we’ll begin the onboarding process. You’ll sign paperwork (most of which can be done digitally through DocuSign), take a questionnaire to establish your risk tolerance, and begin account transfers. Our client service team will be there to ensure everything moves efficiently through this process.

REVIEW MEETING

After you’ve moved through the onboarding process, we’ll meet at a time that’s convenient for you. It’s not simply a set-it-and-forget-it mindset after your accounts have transferred. We’ll go over the initial takeaways, hear any questions or concerns you may have, and cover any outstanding to-dos.

Are you an independent financial planner?

 Yes, through Harbour Investments, Inc., an independent broker-dealer, and Registered Investment Advisor. We are able to provide a full array of products and services to best fit your needs.  

Do you work with other professionals? If so, how?

We maintain a network of highly trained and respected professionals whom we can refer to for their subject matter expertise in associated areas such as tax planning, estate planning, business legal matters, liability insurance, etc. These relationships are strictly professional and are not compensated by any fee-sharing arrangements.

How often can I expect to hear from you, and when?

Mostly, this is up to you. We like to maintain regular contact based on the services you are in need of. In cases where you desire less frequent meetings, we will accommodate your request but ask that we meet no less frequently than once a year.

How are you compensated?

We have multiple compensation models. We have multiple compensation models to choose from based on your needs.

Do you have a minimum investment requirement?

No, we do not require a minimum investment. We want to assist people in building wealth in a strategic manner no matter where they are in their financial journey. We value the relationship with our clients over the dollars they have.

What kind of process do you follow in managing my investments?

We provide a rigorous analysis to develop effective investment strategies and monitor these investments regularly to help attain expected performance. Investments are determined in conjunction with your other important financial goals.
